Yesterday I saw a post on our community website about neo-Nazi literature turning up on a nearby street. The person contacted the police but was unsure what to do next. A commenter suggested filing a report with the Anti-Defamation League, so I posted about the Patriotfront materials I found at Stop and Shop and said that the ADL had been very helpful. Other comments on the post were supportive. Then Anthony weighed in.
Whenever the rest of America wakes up and realizes that we have been bent over and raped by the government for so long and someone new comes along and tries to make it better for us, and the slobs that have been there for 20-30 years taking payoff after payoff, make up false accusations against this person, and all the sheep buy right into their BS and believe it. Oh and by the way, I do hope you realize that since they did whatever it is that they did to rig the election and get this pathetic, delusional, pedophile into office that rape, drug overdose, and illegal immigration have all skyrocketed since Biden took over. I bet that’s trump’s fault too lol. Actually all the things I just mentioned were all extremely low when the grand wizard was in office. Just some food for thought 🤷🏻
Nonsensical vitriol is upsetting anywhere, but especially in an unmoderated public space in this time in history where angry people simmer in a stew of misinformation and paranoia. This is precisely why you see a post about antisemitic leaflets in your neighborhood in a public forum and even though you might share some useful information, you don’t.
But after I calmed down, I realized that even though it’s daunting to call down the lightning, a reasonable voice offering insight gained from direct experience is our only hope. Those who stand up distinguish themselves from the Anthonys of the moment. They risk a little lightning to keep the light shining.
