I am not a New Year’s resolution maker. I have a sad track record of overly ambitious resolutions that were doomed to failure, like figuring out how to manage my checking account. Keeping my resolutions modest gives me a modest feeling of modest success. For example, around twenty years ago my resolution was to buy sunscreen and put it on my face every single day. I am happy to report that resolution stuck.
This year, my resolution is to replace paper napkins with cloth. Lofty, no, but eminently doable. In fact, a set of twelve is due to arrive on Monday.
Who knows what changes the year ahead will bring? Nothing is clear or certain except for one thing: 100% cotton napkins at the Hurwitz house.
Please note I said nothing about ironing them.
Happy New Year!
Great goal, Laura!
