I can absolutely identify with this last paragraph as my daughter was actually in a car accident recently with her boyfriend. I cannot allow myself to contemplate what could have been. Though I'll never meet him, I am forever thankful to the off duty police officer who helped her out of the car and made sure they were OK. It was horrifying getting the phone call from her but like you, I have resolved to count my blessings and let gratitude drive me.

I am so happy for your daughter and her boyfriend...and you! It's nightmarish to get the "I'm okay, but..." call and run through outcomes might have been, but you are so right- the way forward is through the enormous gratitude that they are okay, and life goes on.

I’m always so HAPPY when something that could have been life altering in an unfathomable way turns into something so doable. I’m always shouting thank you for all of the things that DIDN’T happen! So glad she’s okay!

Amy, that is exactly, exactly how I felt! Thank you! My biggest challenge now is leaning into the gratitude and out of the replays and what-ifs, but so far, all I'm feeling is the good stuff. XO

It was terrifying to hear about, even after I knew all were safe- so very much to be grateful for, in this random, beautiful world! Thank you, Jane! XOXO
